R22: PROGRESSIVE ABANDON AND NEW ECOLOGICAL R410A GAS
From January 1, 2010 a  rule banning the production and sale of gas R22 came into force. This gas is the most common fluid used to charge refrigeration and air conditioning  systems. This prohibition implements the no. 2037/2000 EC European Regulation, adopted  by Italy through the Presidential Decree dated 15th February 2006, and it fits into the larger plan for the progressive disposal of HCFC gases  (hydrochlorofluorocarbons), containing chlorine and responsible for the reduction of the ozone layer.

From 2000, the Regulations prevent the use of R22 for new generation plants and machines, allowing the possibility of charging the existing ones with virgin gas, until the end of 2009.

By 2010 and until the total ban of harmful gases planned for 2015, only the maintenance of the existing machines is permitted   using  recovered and recycled R22 .

In view of these significant changes, Frigomar opportunely devoted itself to the production of air conditioning systems using R410A gas . It is a refrigerant, stable, non-flammable, low toxicity mixture, component of the HFC family, chlorine-free and therefore environmentally friendly.

The use of machines for R410A conditioning assures almost identical performances compared with those with R22 gas and it’s perfectly in line with the parameters of ecological and environmental protection.
