R407C GAS AND ITS INITIAL LUCK. |
|
The result
of application of European Regulation EC No. 2037 of 2000 on the divestiture of
R22 gas for air conditioning and refrigeration was ready and the necessary
adjustment of all European manufacturers in the industry.
Many have begun to
replace the R22 with R407C, also free of chlorine, which was widely circulated.
It is a mixture of three components, R32 (23%), R125 (25%) and R134a (52%),
which has the characteristic of being zeotropic, shows that a slip or glide "temperature
in steps of state. This is not the case for pure gases such as R22 and it
reduces the efficiency of heat transfer due to the volatility of different
components and different operational behaviors during loading of the circuit
depending on whether you have to do with the coolant in liquid or gaseous
state. These constraints prevent any action to refill following a partial loss
of gas and force to carry the load of the vacuum and exclusively in the liquid
phase.
However, the initial fortune of R407C was
determined by being similar to R22 in terms of working pressures and
refrigeration capacity, albeit with significant decrease in energy efficiency; substantial structural alterations are not necessary, compared with R22
plants and a retrofit can be made in
almost all the existing machines.
