In Monaco, Frigomar also had the opportunity to introduce the two projects started with the University of Genoa.
The two projects started in 2010 and 2011 in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering, have demonstrated once again Frigomar’s inclination towards an increasingly more concrete and continuous research for the continuous optimization of air conditioning systems of large ships.

Frigomar is happy to announce its upcoming participation at "La Belle Classe Superyachts - Environmental Symposium", a dinner debate organized by the Monaco Yacht Club on the forthcoming 28th March 2012.
La Belle Classe Superyachts is a label of the Monaco Yacht Club , created in 2008 on the recommendation of Prince Albert II, with the aim of promoting technological innovation and an ongoing research to improve the performances of luxury boats, along with the etiquette and especially environment respect.
Environmental Symposium is a prestigious meeting will be attended by leading figures and professionals from the entire production of super yachts: shipowners, shipyards, brokers, designers, captains and experts, who will engage a discussion about the relationship between the great luxury ships and the environment.
In particular, this third edition takes its inspiration from this question: Is it possible to combine energy efficiency with comfort on board?
Frigomar is represented by the Engineer Bernardo Cerrai, who will bring his expertise to Monaco, as well as his commitment to developing on board air conditioning and refrigeration equipments, capable of combining the utmost efficiency with comfort and design for the luxury super yachts; these experiences were gained through a close cooperation and research with the University of Genoa .

On February 25th the Tuyap Istanbul Boat Show 2012 came to the end. During this event Frigomar signed important agreements on Turkish boat market, in particular it has been enhanced an important cooperation with Kaptan Denizcilik , a Turkish leading company celebrating its 30th anniversary.

The Turkish yachting sector represents nowadays a steeply rising market.
The close relationships between Frigomar and the Turkish yachting companies are renewed and strengthened; and example is the cooperation with the Turkish partner Kaptan Denizcilik Tic.A.S. of Istanbul .
This year too in Istanbul, Frigomar and Kaptan will be two of the protagonists of the Tuyap Boat Show , scheduled between 18th and 25th February 2012 in the Turkish capital.
With an exhibition surface of 80,000 square metres, “Istanbul Tüyap Boat Show” is the second boat show on land, in terms of size.

 Compie 10 anni il Seatec di Carrara, la “Rassegna Internazionale di tecnologie, subfornitura e design per imbarcazioni e yacht”, riferimento italiano per le aziende fornitrici di cantieri navali e da diporto. 626 i marchi internazionali presenti in fiera, tra cui 407 italiani e 219 gli stranieri, fra inglesi, francesi, tedeschi ma anche danesi e finlandesi.
Questi alcuni dei numeri dell’edizione 2012 che animerà gli spazi di Carrara Fiere dall’8 al 10 febbraio.
Seatec, da sempre appuntamento imperdibile per l’industria nautica del Mediterraneo, estende la sua vocazione ad un livello più internazionale, rivelandosi un evento di business nautico completo dal punto di vista tecnico e commerciale.

 Out with the old, in with the new. We have come to the annual watershed, the inevitable date to take stock of the year just gone and to make plans for the upcoming 2012.
We want to start this new cycle with some good news, which will prove interesting for the whole pleasure boating sector.
2012 will probably be the year of the first official Italian-Chinese boat show, launched by UCINA (the Italian marine industry association) and organized on the model of Genoa’s International Boat Show.

 The collaboration between Frigomar and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Genoa continues and focuses on the development of a new range of air conditioners / heat pumps and fan coils related to recreational boating.
Considering the satisfactory results achieved by machines already designed and marketed by the company, the aim is now to improve their performance, in terms of efficiency and above all of design and size.
The project's goal is the realization of high-end chillers and fan coils specifically dedicated to the boat air conditioning, since it is well known that the same well-established knowledge and techniques for civil and industrial systems are now applied to the boating sector.
This means that a peculiar feature of the boat areas is neglected, which is particularly important for our customers / builders: the need to optimize space by limiting size and the need for absolute acoustic comfort.
Fan coils , the terminal units of air conditioning systems, present the greatest installation difficulties: they must be very compact and fit in small niches to combine the functionality needs with the boat design ones.

 After the Genoa Boat Show, Frigomar is preparing for another strategic meeting of the boating industry.
From 15th to 17th November the company will take part in “METS - Marine Equipment Trade Show” in Amsterdam, which is the largest trade exhibition in the world for equipment, accessories and systems for pleasure boating.
More than 1250 exhibitors will participate to METS and will have the opportunity to meet yacht builders, naval architects, shipyards, distributors and resellers of boating industry equipment from all over the world; 20,000 visitors are expected from over 100 countries.
METS stands out for the attention it pays to new products and innovative projects in the field of design and functionality.
The DAME - Design Award is a competition inside the METS that awards the prize to the best design project of every edition.
A special role of the event is played by the “Super Yacht Pavilion”, which gathers the most significant companies in the market of products and services for super yachts and luxury boats.
Frigomar awaits you at the refurbished and enlarged stand 01.738 - Hall 1, where we will present all the innovations for air conditioning and refrigeration on board.

 Frigomar expresses its satisfaction with the recent participation in the Genoa International Boat Show .
The event, which proved to be the most complete exhibition among the world events of the boating industry, has been the mirror of a market that has posted some encouraging signs in the first quarter of 2011, both in terms of turnover (+3.9% over the same period last year) and in terms of orders.
In a context that tends to stability after a period of sharp contraction, the Genoa Boat Show was animated by the courage and constancy of the companies of this sector.
The event posted good numbers in terms of qualified visitors and professional operators, who could not only generate significant business opportunities, but also meet the institutions, associations, financial sector and operators.

 The International Boat Show in Genoa is a full and thorough experience.
This is the point of greatest strength, which makes this yachting event the most anticipated one for the international boat industry and for yachtsmen from all over the world.
The 51st edition of the exhibition will take place from 1st to 9th October 2011; it will enliven the area of the Fiera di Genova with three pavilions, two marinas and outdoor areas facing the sea, where the protagonists will be the innovation, design and craftsmanship of the 2000 boats, the yachting accessories and engines.
At the Genoa International Boat Show, the best world nautical production meets the all Italian excellences, and involves the entire city, with events and performances dedicated to anyone who shares a passion for the sea.

 At Frigomar, we are sure that the best guarantee we can offer our clients is the constant research on the path of the ongoing innovation.
In the two-year period between 2009 and 2010, Frigomar has realized substantial investments for the innovation in the technological-productive and commercial field, with the support of the Regione Liguria: more specifically, the production line has been improved thanks to the infrared load station, which can spot the tiniest leaks of refrigerant fluid, in the range of 3 grams/year.
Thanks to this important partnership, Frigomar reaches the target of an absolute control of each component, obtaining a level of ever increasing reliability of its yachting products and services.
The project was co-financed with the resources of the p.o.r. cro (regional operational programme cro) Regione Liguria 2007-2013.

Frigomar is a guest of this prestigious world yachting event; it will introduce the chillers series 410 as exclusive and innovative products for the on-board air conditioning, characterized by their modularity, noiselessness, reliability and accurate control.
Frigomar awaits its customers at stand no. JAN 043, together with its own service Midi Froid , a collaboration consolidated for years, which covers one of the most important areas of the yachting world: the Côte d'Azur.

Frigomar provides every Chiller unit Series 410 with a real test guarantee that we call "Chiller Test".
As a matter of fact, since 2004 Frigomar submits all of its chillers to a test which virtually recreates the conditions of use in which the machine will work; it also reproduces the conditions water/sea, controls its temperature and the relevant operating pressures.

An on board environment with the right air conditioning is important on all types of boats and cannot be achieved on yachts and megayachts only.
When you cannot install central air conditioning systems that require suitable spaces for their equipment, the choice of an independent direct expansion system is certainly the best solution, especially on boats under 10 meters
The range of Frigomar independent air conditioning systems are called Freezy and Super Freezy : their installation is best suited for small and medium-sized boats without a generator group or with low power groups.

At present, air conditioning and refrigeration systems running on R-22 are therefore banned from using virgin gas for refuelling and maintenance operations. Until 2015, the latter can still be made by using recycled or recovered gas.
The reliable R22 appliances do not have to be replaced immediately; however, at present there is not a sufficient amount of recovered R22 gas to meet all requests.

Over these days, another step has been made to strengthen the connections between the Ligurian yachting industry and the promising Arab market. Such links were first created on the last October at the “Salone Nautico” (Boat Show) held in Genoa and then followed in March at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show - the international exhibition on luxury yachting of the United Arab Emirates.
From May 16th to 18th, emerging Arab operators visited Liguria and its most important yachting companies in three days of business meetings and visits to shipyards and manufacturing plants.
Frigomar is one of the over thirty companies of the Ligurian sector that established close links in these days for active cooperation with the Arab representatives.

The gas Frigomar has adopted since 2006 as an ideal replacement for the R22 gas is the R410A gas. This choice stands to reason because of certain characteristics that this type of gas has.
Firstly, the R410A gas belongs to the family of HCF, a gas which is very environmentally friendly, because it contains no harmful chlorine for the stratosphere, so perfectly in line with European legislation, which requires the ongoing disposal of refrigerant gases that destroy the ozone.

With the Montreal Protocol, the international community has pledged to phase out all substances which contribute to the thinning of the ozone layer by the year 2030.
The R22 gas too, widely used in air conditioning and refrigeration, is part of the family of harmful gases for the ozone, the now infamous hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs).
In fact the R22 gas, once released into the air is decomposed by the ultraviolet rays of the sun and releases chlorine into the stratosphere. The chlorine reacts with the ozone and drastically reduces its quantity.
This process is creating the so-called "hole" that allows ultraviolet rays to reach the earth surface, originating numerous environmental and health problems.
The European Union, with the EC Regulation 2037 of 2000, implements the directives of the Montreal Protocol, and establishes a ban on R22 and HCFC gases, to be completed by 2014.
