More capacity, same footprint
The CU210VFDT raises maximum cooling and heating capacity to 210,000 BTU/h (17.5 ton), a 16.7% increase over the 180,000 BTU/h model. What matters to the designer is that this gain comes with no change to the footprint (540 × 600 × 670 mm), weight, power supply (400 V three-phase, 50-60 Hz) or refrigerant (R410A). In the engine room and on the switchboard, where space and available power are limited resources, this means more air-conditioning capacity at the same size and power consumption.
An answer to a changing market
The CU210 was developed in response to two real market drivers: rising temperatures, which call for greater onboard cooling capacity, and demand for solutions suited to increasingly large vessels. By extending the range upward, FRIGOMAR broadens the range of available solutions.
More capacity without new space: the refit advantage
This is also a direct benefit for anyone upgrading or replacing an existing system: the CU210 increases cooling capacity using the same space on board. In refit work, where freeing up new volume in the engine room is often impractical, it is the simplest route to more power. It is particularly well suited to replacing previous-generation chillers — such as the 609NT and 610NT models — as well as any other existing system, including non-FRIGOMAR units, adding air-conditioning capacity without altering the spaces on board.
Titanium seawater exchanger
The CU210VFDT is available exclusively with a titanium seawater exchanger, one of the most corrosion-resistant metals thanks to its natural oxide film. A choice consistent with its intended service, where long-term reliability is a non-negotiable requirement.
Variable Frequency Drive technology
Like the entire CU Series, the CU210 uses Variable Frequency Drive technology: the system modulates capacity to the actual onboard demand, from ECO mode to full load, avoiding the on/off cycling typical of fixed-speed systems, always running at the lowest frequency required.
